Claire’s, retailer of accessories and jewellery, was founded in 1961 as Fashion Tress Industries (FTI) by Rowland Schaefer. FTI focused on fashion wigs. In 1973 Fashion Tress acquired Claire’s, a jewelry chain. The new firm was named Claire’s stores, Inc. Claire's sell accessories geared towards tweens, teens, and young adults. The collection carries jewellry, accessories, hair accessoiries and make-up. In 2011 was launched.

Claire’s is a global brand powerhouse for self-expression, creating exclusive, curated and fun fashionable jewelry and accessories, and offering world-leading piercing services. The company operates under two brand names: Claire’s and ICING.

We operate 2,300 Claire’s stores in 17 countries throughout North America and Europe and 190 ICING stores in North America. We also sell Claire’s products in thousands of concessions locations in North America and Europe, and we have more than 300 franchised Claire’s stores, located primarily in the Middle East and South Africa.

Our senior management team has extensive retail experience and complementary expertise across a broad range of disciplines including merchandising, supply chain, real estate, e-commerce and finance. In total, our senior management team consists of eight members with over 180 years of collective experience in the retail sector.
